We have over 30 years experience working with and owning horses.
I have a BSc in Animal Science, Nutrition, Behaviour and Welfare. Thomas has a BSc in Agricultural Engineering and an MSc in Crop Production. He has worked with and owned heavy horses for 25 years doing sponsorship, showing and carrying on a long family tradition. He manages the arable farm where we specialise in crop, grass and land management which is of huge benefit when it comes to managing grazing and producing a quality hay crop. I am a member of the PHCP, Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners. My particular interest in behaviour, training, nutrition and welfare has led me to lecture in these subjects at FE & HE colleges in the UK. I have a passion for barefoot hoofcare which really developed when I bought a horse who really struggled barefoot. This interest developed as I attended clinics and read more about the subject until I decided I wanted to work with hooves professionally. Specialising in hooves also worked hand in hand with the track system livery we have developed together. I write for 'The Barefoot Horse' Magazine, run a Blog and have written articles for a variety of other equine publications.
Over the last five years, we have been developing a livery based around the concept of 'Paddock Paradise' (Track Systems). Our desire to create a livery which provides a lifestyle which is first and foremost to the benefit of the horse. It has taken us on a long journey of discovery and we still learn and add to this every day. We enjoy looking at what people take for granted with horse care and pushing it to the next level.
